Graduate students Anna and Jacqueline participated in an independent study course, NRS 502, this spring under the guidance of Professor Chris Zajchowski and TA Shahriar Rahman, along with undergraduate NRS 387. Students spent parts of their semester revising and re-creating 23 interpretative signs at Massacre Rocks State Park with Park Manager, Travis Taylor, and Public Information Specialist, Chelsea Chambers.

The project allowed students to learn and practice interpretative principles and hone communication skills. Signs were peer reviewed by the class and given constructive feedback from Travis, Chelsea, Jacqueline, Anna, Shahriar and Chris. Keep an eye out for the unveiling of new signs at Massacre Rocks in the year to come!
